During my first trip from Karachi to Lahore, I had to travel between the Airport to my hotel — it was an icy chilled December morning and I noticed the beautiful canal (BRB Canal) surrounded by lush green trees. It was an amazing sight to experience with where I could inhale a gust of fresh air — I kept gazing that soothing sight until the smoothly flowing Lahore canal ended.
But today I could not resist to share the same yet different image of the city canal which has turned into a Free Desi Swimming Pool.
Regardless of health, safety and environment issue hundreds of Lahoris thronged this canal to beat the heat. As a Karachite its an unusual scene to me yet I can imagine Punjabs sizzling heat supported by unlimited load shedding.
After looking at the “Zinda dilan e Lahore” — I have nothing left to say except “Lor Lor Ae”
